Had the Sanctions / Embargo been lifted in the 1960's, Cuba would have succumbed to Capitalism by 1975.

Well, hopefully the Cubans will continue to open up to the US and we can help each other out. Ethanol is NOT a good fuel, especially in older engine/fuel systems. We need to develop algae-based bio-fuels instead.

Really should depend on the BTU output compared to 100% gasoline to see if it IS A VIABLE ALTERNATIVE.

I have to wonder why Cuba doesn't just export sugarcane to someone who can import cars to them. All those relics from the 50's they continue to repair have to use a lot of gas.
